Leverette Way, Saffron Walden

Client:

McCarthy Stone

Value:

>£2,200,000

Scope Of Work

This attractive Saffron Walden Development consists of 56 one and two-bedroom Extra Care apartments and 16 one and two-bedroom Extra Care bungalows.

Our role of Principle Contractor will be carried out over a 20 week duration where we will be stripping the site of over 11,000m2 of topsoil, some which will be retained for future use and the balance being removed from site.

With the differing of levels across the site there will be a requirement for 2 No Sheet Piled retaining walls to be constructed with the installation of capping beams and faced off brick and timber finishes.

Foundations to both the apartment block and bungalows are of traditional construction where circa 600m3 of concrete will be poured as part of their construction, this is followed by sub structure brick and blockwork and the installation of PCC floors to the bungalows.

As part of the drainage scheme there are deep bore soakaways to the utilised as well as the installation of over 360m3 of soakaway crates.

For the entrance road this is made up permeable construction detail, bordered with macadam and block paved footpaths and with a intricate network of underground services running beneath.

Finally the site is complimented with large landscaped public open spaces for the residents to enjoy.
